LUSH Cosmetics - My Fav 5

LUSH Cosmetics

Hi everyone!

About a year ago, I became completely obsessed with LUSH. I mean really, obsessed. I bought everything from their "toothy tabs" (solid toothpaste) and tea tree toner tabs, to their shampoos, face wash, soaps, bath bombs, shower scrubs, and everything in between.

Once I figured out how much I loved their products - I started to research them, and what they are about is really cool. My favorite part is that Lush is Cruelty-Free and they actively fight animal testing.  All of their ingredients are what they call fresh - meaning that they are as organic as possible. It's great because you know exactly what you are putting on your skin. They also use recyclable containers - and reward you for returning them. If you bring back 5 tubs, you get a free fresh facemask!

I found a couple products that I really loved, and have since gone back for more (and more, and more...) Below are my Top 5. Read, and then shop. Lush can be intimidating if you've never been, but I swear, in my experience, everyone who works there is super helpful and they don't push products. Just go, ask questions, and come out a better smelling person. Trust me!

 1.           Rub Rub Rub Shower Scrub - Since it really is my favorite and I use it daily, I am sadly out of Rub Rub Rub, and therefore could not take a picture for you. It is really heaven in a tub. It's bright blue, and smells like a combination of flowers and sweet smelling citrus It's refreshing and my go-to, especially during the summer months. All you need is a little palm full and you will be in heaven. It really works,'s a good product to use to exfoliate that isn't too harsh, which is great if your skin is like mine and can be a little sensitive. Since there's no's a link! Rub Rub Rub Shower Scrub

2.           Rose Jam Shower Gel  - This is a close second. You guys are going to kill me, because this is only a seasonal Lush product! I know, I know, I'm not happy about it either. The good news is that they have big bottles (like the one I have - pictured below), that should last you a couple months (I don't use much, if you use more, this may only last you a month!). It is SO wonderfully fragrant and epitomizes my favorite thing about Lush - none of their products smell fake or are over-scented with artificial scents - because they are made with real ingredients. This smells like roses, a little vanilla, and is really heavenly. The bottle ain't lyin! (PS - if you like this and want more year-round, they have a big variety of products with the rosey scents that are similar. Rose Jam bath bombs and Ro's Argan are two of my favorites!)

3.           No Drought Dry Shampoo - This is a staple in my beauty routine. Dry shampoo is so useful, and this is all-natural and smells fresh, with hints of lime and citrus, which makes it even better. I use it for its true purpose to take out moisture in my hair (especially on those days where I snooze a few too many times and washing and drying my hair is not on my agenda), but I also use it to create a natural texture before curling beachy waves into my hair - I find that it makes my hair "dirtier", and the waves are texturized better and look less stiff and more natural. This is a MUST much better than it's Aerosol counterparts.

4.           Breath of Fresh Air Toner Water -  I'll admit it, you don't need this product - but, you'll want it. Breath of Fresh Air is a lightly scented fresh toner that you can spritz on your face after a hot shower or after washing your face to give yourself a spritz of cool refreshment. It is made with aloe, and works to give you clearer, brighter, skin. For me, honestly, I just spritz it on my face from about 6-10 inches away a few times, and I feel instantly refreshed. The smell has hints of rose, which as you can tell, I love.

5.           Mint Julips Lip Scrub - This minty, sugar scrub is a tiny little tub that quickly became a staple of mine. I keep this little guy in my medicine cabinet and use it before bed. I usually use my finger to scrub, but you could just as easily put it on and scrub just moving your lips back and forth. The best part is that once your done scrubbing, you lick the scrub right off, and enjoy a little sugary goodness. Ok, you could rinse it off - but what fun is that? It is made to be consumed and enjoyed - it's made with fair trade sugar and peppermint oil. The chocolate flavor is really light, it is mostly just sweet and minty. This little tub is $9.95 and will last forever (seriously - mine has lasted over 6 months).

Honorable Mentions: Sultana Soap - this is my all time favorite soap of any brand - I use it daily alongside whichever shower gel I'm using. I decided you guys probably don't want a picture of a half used bar of soap - but it is heavenly. I can't even tell you what it smells like, but it's refreshing while being warm... it's creamy, it's perfect. Ro's Argan - rose scented shower lotion, yes, shower lotion (!) Sex Bomb Bath Bomb - My favorite bath bomb, it is jasmine scented and wonderfully fragrant without being overpowering. Throw one in your next bath and thank me later.

One more thing - Did I mention to you guys that there are LUSH SPAS!? Nope, not kidding, there's one in NY! They use all Lush products and offer specialized spa services!
