Lip Service

Thursday, February 26, 2015

Are anyone else's lips basically falling off their face this time of year like mine are? These last couple weeks of winter are BRUTAL (in general) but especially for our lips and skin! I did a post on skincare products to help moisturize your beautiful faces - but now let's zone in on the lips. My top exfoliator, moisturizers, and a couple of my favorite lip colors, below!

1. EXFOLIATE - I have a couple go-tos for lip exfoliation. The first being the Lush lip exfoliator I have previously posted about. It's a sugar based scrub from Lush called Mint Julips Lip Scrub. As I mentioned in that post - you scrub a little between your lips and you can lick it right off! Another way I exfoliate is just taking sugar I have in my kitchen and rubbing between my lips (gently), sometimes I mix it with a little honey, too. Sugar scrubs seem to work so I've stuck with them!

2. HYDRATE – Palmer’s Cocoa Butter Swivel Stick is my go-to, as you may have read in a previous post…2 of my other favorites are: FRESH Sugar Tinted Lip Color in Honey - it is a perfect hue for everyday wear and really does moisturize your lips. It is just a tint, so it’s barely even noticeable, honestly, you will notice it way more than anyone else. They have several different tones, so there is absolutely one that will work for you! The honey is a soft peach but my go-to for years was the Rose tint - it's a little more pink but still sheer! SMITHS MINTED ROSE LIP BALM is my other go-to (yes – I am obsessed with rose scented products) – it’s a little “stickier” for lack of a better word, and looks more glossy. It comes in a cute little container and is easy to throw in your purse. Again, the color is a relatively mild pink, just a tint, which shouldn’t overpower your skin tone. It has a tiny mint scent so it smells nice and fresh, too.

(In order: Honolulu Honey, Heat Wave, Fanny)

3. COLOR – OK, ya’ll. Fair warning, these 3 colors are all NARS. They are not cheap. But they are worth it. That’s what I tell myself. Anyway, my top 3 favorites are:
  •  NARS Honolulu Honey – This color is a nude with a slight peachy tint. This was one of my first purchases in the lipstick department and I've gone back for more a couple times now. It’s great for everyday wear or to pair with a smoky eye.
  • NARS Heat Wave – this is a gem. For me, it was impossible to find a red that worked with my skin-tone. Too orangey, and I looked like I belonged in the 80’s. Too blue-tinted, and I looked like I was a cast member in Twilight. Too glossy, and I looked like a …woman of the night. Reds are hard. So, I finally found Heat Wave and honestly, it’s the best red I’ve found to date. I have fair skin and freckles, blonde hair and green eyes, and this color agrees with my coloring. It’s certainly bold, don’t get me wrong, but it isn’t bold in an un-wearable way. The more you wear it, the more comfortable you’ll get. I wore it to work a couple times and now it seems totally normal to rock a red lip. Just remember, keep everything else relatively simple.
  • NARS Audacious Lipstick in Fanny - is my 3rd and final color recommendation. Again, this is a bold lip. It’s really a berry color – it has cool undertones. This one is more wearable than Heat Wave in terms of skin tone, in my opinion. The Audacious line is not cheap, but it was designed to be a one-layer, one and done lipstick. And I have to say, it does last for hours and hours.

WORD TO THE WISE – if you are a novice lipstick wearer, like myself, make sure you exfoliate and hydrate your lips before applying lipstick. Otherwise, you are going to have some crazy flakey pieces trying to escape from the rest of your lips.

I’ve been a little long winded but I swear it is in your best interest :-) What are some of your favorite colors/brands? Comment below!

Now, go out, be bold, and rock a red lip this Friday.

XO!

The Liebster Award

The darling duo behind Platinum Pair (www.platinumpair.com) nominated me for the new bloggers’ Liebster Award! Thank you Kaily and Haylee! You girls rock! So, this award is for new bloggers (less than 3,000 Instagram followers) that gets passed on from one blogger to the next. Once you are nominated you answer the 11 questions given to you, choose new bloggers to pass it on to, and then create new questions for them.

Here are my answers!
  1. Who is your favorite popular blogger that you look to for inspiration?

I have several! I love Amber Fillerup behind www.barefootblonde.com is of course my ultimate hair inspiration. I also sincerely love Heather Christensen's style and her blog www.noreasonneeded.com - she is absolutely gorgeous, too. Eleni McMullin of www.conveythemoment.com is another one of my favorites, and the list goes on and on!

  2. What is your favorite store to shop at?

Oh boy. This is a loaded question! Honestly, I love to shop online, so I shop anywhere and everywhere!

    Some of my top favs:

Clothes - Free People, Asos, Bloomingdales

Accessories - Bauble Bar is one of my top favs, and I love little boutique stores with unique pieces.

    Make-Up/Hair - Sephora

  3. Sequins or Sneakers?

Totally depends on the day! I would have to say maybe neither - if I had to choose, sequins!

  4. What is your dream vacation?

Ok, you caught me, I have 2...(I've thought about this before!) The first would be overwater bungalows in Bora Bora and the second would be the complete opposite - I would love to take a few months and explore the US! Go see landmarks I've never seen and revisit the places that I love.

  5. What is your favorite TV Show?

I am a reality TV show junkie. If you've read my blog before, you know I am a regular watcher of The Bachelor, I also watch Housewives, and most reality shows on Bravo and E!...on the flip side, I also watch Food Network and a little TLC like Say Yes to the Dress! Oh, and did I mention Shark Tank? Guilty as charged.

  6. What do you love most about blogging?

I love that blogging allows me to communicate with a lot of people. Blogging for me is so fun because when you have a product you love or a hairstyle you want to share, or a show you want to gossip about, it allows you to share your thoughts/ideas in a conversational way outside your group of friends and family. When you have a new product and you think it has changed your life (read: Buxom Mascara!) you want to tell everyone you know. This makes it easy :-)

  7. What is your most and least favorite trend right now?

I am loving the destroyed denim I'm seeing all over the place. It speaks to me. Least favorite would probably be the (continued) resurrection of the 1990's crop top. I'm so over it.

  8. What attracts you to another's blog?

First, good quality photos to draw me in, and then good content to keep me there. I like blogs that do similar things that I am looking to do - i.e. product reviews, good info on their favorite pair of jeans or tried and true hair products, etc.

  9. Any personal "rules" you follow when putting an outfit together?

The rule is, there are no rules! I made a promise to myself that this year I will try to break out of my fashion comfort zone and try new looks.

  10. Indoors or outdoors?

Outdoors, always! Unless it's 10 degrees like it is right now, in which case, I'll gladly stay inside!

  11. Favorite quote and why?

My favorite quote of all time hangs in both my office and home, and is a reminder that happiness is the key to everything. If you aren't happy, do what you need to do and find a way to get there. John Lennon put it best:

"When I was 5 years old, my mother always told me that happiness was the key to life. When I went to school, they asked me what I wanted to be when I grew up. I wrote down 'happy'. They told me I didn't understand the assignment, and I told them they didn't understand life."

Now that I've answered the questions, I would like to nominate the following 5 bloggers:

    Kellie Ann from www.withfaithloveandcoffee.blogspot.com

    Nina Erin from www.lawoffashionblog.com

    Erika Sorocco from www.cateyesandskinnyjeans.com

    Rafaela Gama from www.prettytinythings.com

    Rachel from www.littledenblog.com

    Kelly from www.thevintageblonde.com

Ladies, here are your questions! Since I only picked 6, I made it easy and only have 5 questions!

    1. Who is your style icon and why?
    2. If you could live in any era, which would it be?
    3. You woke up late, and have to be out of the house in 15 minutes. What do you throw on?
    4. What is your 1 beauty product you could not live without?
    5. What do you hope people learn about you from your blog?

Thank you again to Platinum Pair & Have a Wonderful Friday!

    XO!

Skin Savers - my top 3 products for keeping your skin hydrated!

Hi! So, with all this cold weather, I felt compelled to do a quick little post on my top 3 skin savers. Honestly, I use all 3 of these products year round but right now in the last cold days of the season (I hope), they are more important than ever.

These are my top  3 - there are about 8 bazillion others I have tried, but these are my tried and true favorites for facial moisturizing. All-over body moisturizers are a whole different ballpark, so I will do a review on those at a later date! Enjoy! XO

1. Palmer's Cocoa Butter Formula Swivel Stick - Ok so I know this one isn't particularly fancy, but this is my #1 most used product year round. On days I don't wear any make-up, I still have this on hand. I've been using this for the last 5 years or so, it's one of those things that you find and then never go back to using anything else. It is the ONLY thing that works for my chapped lips in winter (and spring, summer, and fall!). Honestly, sometimes I dab some on the creases on either side of my nose when they get a little dry, too! Every gal I know swears by a different chap-stick or lip balm - this is mine. There is no color, so you can put virtually anything on top of it. You can find this little gem at Target, most drugstores, and it's $2-3 bucks a pop. I have 3 or 4 circulating around in all my different bags I carry! Oh and ladies, this is perfect to pick up for your guy who is complaining of chapped lips and is constantly borrowing your chap-stick but won't go get one of his own...there is no scent and it's totally manly...;-)

2. Bobbi Brown Tinted Moisturizing Balm with SPF 25 in Light to Medium Tint - Of all of the tinted moisturizers I've tried, this one is it for me. I tried it last year for the first time and have been using it ever since. You only need a teeeensy bit of this to cover your face - it's perfect for days when you don't want a full face of make-up but still want something to even out your skin tone. It's pretty sheer and I apply this with the same Sephora brush I use to apply my concealer (Pro-Foundation Brush #47). I lightly dab the brush and then apply all over. It's so easy to use and will last you forever! This + a little mascara and you are ready to go. I have to give an honorable mention here to the Laura Mercier tinted moisturizer which is also a favorite of mine.

3. Kiehl's Ulta Facial Moisturizer - This is the perfect moisturizer to put on before your makeup. I use it daily, apply right when I get out of the shower, wait for my skin to soak it up, and then apply makeup as usual. I love it because it's not oily and doesn't leave a weird residue on my face. It's a very gentle product and I've never had any issues with red spots or breaking out - some other moisturizers give my sensitive skin some problems - but this one is user friendly! Again, you don't need much to cover your whole face - I get a dime size amount and use all over each morning.

What products do all of you swear by to keep your skin moisturized? I would especially love to know from any of you sensitive skin/combination skin folks like myself...comment below!

Happy Sunday!

XO

Episode 9 Recap - Fantasy Suites

Here we go people! I am SO SORRY this post is so delayed. It's been a hectic couple of days. So, without further adieu, the date we've all been waiting for...the fantasy suites.

First Date: Kaitlin

Looks like Chris and Kaitlin are really MONKEYING around, amiright?

Ok, seriously, this is pretty anticlimactic and I think it's a theme with all of Kaitlin's dates. Even though I really like her, I don't know if they have any real chemistry that goes beyond friendship. I feel like she is going to get her heart broken???? #hesjustnotthatintoyou ?? What do you guys think??

Also side note, does Kaitlin not look the prettiest that she has looked all season? Like seriously gorgeous? She looks great and actually now that I'm thinking about it Chris looks better too. Maybe it's the light in Bali. Maybe I should move there.

So anyway basically this date is monkeys during the day & Kaitlin really letting her guard down at dinner. I do think that she is really falling in love with him - but I'm scared for her!

Wait...Chris can say he's falling in love with her? Isn't there a rule against this in Bachelor land? If Brad couldn't say he loved Emily than no one can. OK!?

Kaitlin accepted the Fantasy Suite card and off they go. I'm just not seeing the connection like I see with him and the other 2.

Second date: Whitney

I mean, let's face it. Everywhere in Bali is beautiful, but I think yachting on the Indian Ocean is a little bit more romantic than taking a walk and playing with monkeys. I mean...yeah.

Not to directly quote the totally hilarious thing that all of the people on the show say when it can't seem possible, but this date seems really natural. Anyway, the entire date was basically Whitney talking and Chris listening (or not listening I couldn't really tell), but at dinner I think he actually did talk a lot and ask good questions...right?

Romantic dinner (obvi) follows the day on the yacht.

First of all, I love Whitney's dress and look at dinner. Seriously, everyone looks better this episode!

So, Whitney opens up about her sister and their differences and how she was super pissed that her sister wouldn't give Chris her blessing.

Also that reminds me, granted they might not have aired it, but, wasn't Whitney's sister the only one that Chris asked for permission? I mean...

So...as I suspected she might say, Whitney said her career comes 2nd to her wanting to be a wife and mom when Chris asks her about moving to Arlington. I sort of like half buy-it, but I do think she would be happy in Arlington if she had a family to take care of.

Chris says he is falling in love with Whitney, too. Again, Chris, YOU AREN'T ALLOWED TO SAY THAT.

Fantasy Suite? Yup. Check please.

Third Date: Becca

Maybe Chris should stick to yachting because his pit stains are out of control.

This whole date is obviously going to be about the fact that Becca is a virgin and Chris has no idea. Do you think he really has no idea? I always wonder that. Like, none of the producers told him? AND HE CALLS THESE PEOPLE HIS FRIENDS?!

Anyway Chris and Becca go out and explore Bali, Chris flexes awkwardly with children while Becca takes pictures...and they walk through the rainforest and wade in the rapids, totally normal.

Soooo wait this dude who is telling them to make love tonight is like the mayor of their town, kind of? I Seems pretty awkward. Anyway, super awks for all of us watching and WAY awks for Becca.

The night progresses and now I'm confused and Chris is confused and I think we're all confused. Becca most definitely does NOT want to move to Arlington. Soooo...

WHAT DO YOU WANT, BECCA? IT'S NOT ABOUT WHAT I WANT, OR WHAT HE WANTS, OR WHAT YOUR PARENTS WANT. WHAT DO YOU WANT!?

So yeah - Becca accepts the fantasy suite card and then tells Chris she is a virgin and he LITERALLY cannot even get out one word. He's like "I...uh...um...I...yeah I don't know what to say" which is pretty much the exact reaction everyone thought he would have.

Apparently their convo in the morning after the fantasy suite made Chris even more confused, although we didn't actually get the chance to hear it, I'm sure it went similar to the conversation that they had at dinner.

Rose Ceremony

Dressed in traditional Balinese garb, the gals gather for the most important rose ceremony yet.

Chris pulls Becca aside...

Wait. Am I the only one who thought during that entire conversation that Becca was going home? I'm so confused. She just said what he wanted to hear I think? I am like 1000% he was going to send her home....???

So, Kaitlin is all like YAY Becca is going home! and then Chris comes back with Becca and boom, Kaitlin's going home. Ugh. Kaitlin is the coolest.

The Final Two:

1. Whitney
2. Becca

I really think during the rose ceremony after Chris called Whitney's name he was definitely just like going back and forth between Kaitlin and Becca in his head and I truly believe at that moment he still did not know who he was going to send home until the words came out of his mouth.

I feel sad for Kaitlin but honestly I don't think she would have been happy in Arlington...so I think even though she's sad right now she'll be better off in the long run.

NOW...my thoughts on the final 2. Honestly, I am pretty much certain Whitney is going to win. After watching the previews it seems like they are trying to make us think that, but I'm buying it anyway. I feel like now that it's down to her and Becca, she's basically a shoo-in.

Next week the Women Tell All - which I am super excited about (can't wait to see Ashley, Ashley, and Kelsey have melt downs) but also hate, because I just want to know who will end up with Chris!

What do you guys think? What will happen next? Who is going to throw down at women tell all and who is going to end up with Chris???

Comment below & tell me!

Hello Hair Hydrating Mask - Review

Thursday, February 19, 2015

Ok so you gals know how I feel about protecting my hair and keeping it nice and moisturized. Well...I have discovered a new product!

Hello Hair makes 2 oil based hair masks - their original and Island Escape Edition. Since we are in the middle of an arctic blast here, I decided to go for Island Escape and I was not disappointed.

This mask is different from some other masks I have tried (like the Moroccanoil mask in my Hair SOS post) because it is oil based. So basically it comes out of the little spout on the top and you apply it to dry hair. Because it is a blend of oils, when I retrieved it from my freezing mailbox it was frozen solid! As it warmed up in my house it became pliable and came out liquid. Similarly, I would imagine if you are using this mask in summer or in a warm climate, it would be extremely easy to come out of the spout as it would be in all liquid form - so be careful opening it!

So, you apply this mask liberally from root to end and let it sit. I did not brush it in with my wet brush like I have with other masks.

Hello Hair recommends letting it sit at least 30 minutes and you can wrap your head in Saran Wrap to really trap in the moisture. They also say you can even sleep with it in overnight! I left mine on for about an hour of the Bachelor on Monday and then washed it out. I learned that you MUST wash your hair thoroughly with shampoo after using the mask or you will look like an oily mess. So I did that and the results were AMAZING!!!

The next day I let my hair air dry and it felt so much softer and I could actually run my hands through it...for me that's a big deal!

I hope this was short and sweet. You can order their Island Escape mask right from their website at: http://hellohair.com.au/products/hello-hair-hydrating-mask

Allow for a couple extra days of shipping time since this little package is coming from Australia!

It's worth the wait :-) Happy Hydrating!

XO!

Episode 7 & 8 - From 6 to 3

Tuesday, February 17, 2015

Ok so let's sum up the "Chris Tells All" hour in a few short sentences: Chris told us nothing, except alluding to the fact that Britt goes home by referring to her in the past tense the whole time...(let's face it we already knew she was going home), Krazzzzy Kelsey reaffirms to us she is totally insane, and Andi  was in no emotional state to be interviewed on nation television. Seriously - that was hard to watch.

Now onto Episode 7...

Episode 7 - Part 1

First thing's first, they didn't have a rose ceremony last week (again). So, there's a rose ceremony at the beginning of the episode (again)...anddddd Megan eliminates herself. She is basically like "Yeah, you don't like me, this isn't really progressing, so I'm going to leave. What do you think?" and Chris is like "Ok, sounds good. Yeah, it's not really going anywhere." Soooo Megan goes home.

Rose Ceremony Survivors:

  1. Whitney
  2. Becca
  3. Jade
  4. Kaitlyn
  5. Britt
  6. Carly

So this week the remaining gals and Chris are in Iowa. I think they are staying in Des Moines, but the idea is that they are all going to be able to "see what it would be like" to live in Iowa as a farmers wife? A.K.A. Britt, Kaitlyn, and Jade, you can hit the road.

Anyway, Jade gets the first One-On-One and heads to Chris' hometown of Arlington.

The date basically went like this: Chris and Jade walked down the abandoned main street of Arlington, Chris told her that all of the shops are either closed or out of business, and that there is not even a coffee shop in town. Not exactly a sell there, Chris. (PS: the whole time is anyone else thinking like there has to be a neighboring town with a Starbucks? Or a movie theater? Or a bar? - Like a lot of towns are small but there's at least some closeby towns with I don't know, another person on the street?)

Sooo apparently no one is out in crazy downtown Arlington, because they are all at the High School football game. I'm getting a Friday Night Lights vibe on this town and I'm into it. Anyway, Going to Chris' highschool to watch a football game is actually really cute I think?? I could do without the wandering around an abandoned school - creepy...but cute.

You know how all the girls keep saying like "Chris isn't playing by the rules" and "Anything goes this season" well yeah, Jade just MET CHRIS' PARENTS.

Then the entire town chanted together for Jade to kiss Chris. I'd say the date went well.

Whitney gets the next One-On-One and instead of going to Arlington, her and Chris visit Des Moines.

Going around and taking pics of each other all day HAS to get a little boring don't you think? Honestly it probably wouldn't for me but I'm not normal.

On another note, I'm liking Whitney's casual outfit and flannel tied around her waist - I will be rocking this soon.

After the photos, Chris introduces Whitney to his BEST FRIENDS (no pressure Whitney) and they actually ask her some tough questions but she handles it really well I think? Is it wrong that I feel like this is more pressure than meeting his family?? She also tells Chris about her family life (did anyone else have any idea about this? did I miss something?) and then he takes her outside and shows her the MURAL of a photo of the two of them on the side of the building. No big deal, here's a mural of us.

Again, the date went pretttttty well.

During this date, the rest of the girls go to Arlington on their own to find out what it would be like to live there. Britt basically freaks out and is like yeah I can never do this and Carly is like YAY I have another reason to hate Britt but yet she doesn't ever say she would want to live there, either???

Carly, Kaitlyn and Britt get the Group Date

3 things happen on this date.
  1. The girls and Chris "play hockey"
  2. Carly talks shit about Britt
  3. Britt goes crazy when she doesn't get the rose on the date
So Carly basically spent her entire time with Chris talking about how Britt is fake and how she doesn't want to see Chris with her since Britt doesn't actually want to live in Arlington.  Honestly you guys this is coming off a little weird, I think I'm becoming less and less of a Carly fan as this episode goes on...

Chris and Kaitlyn talk about how she doesn't feel confident in how he feels about her, and he ends up giving her the rose, causing Britt to flip out in front of Carly and Kaitlyn. Britt is basically like yeah I'm confused, I just told you how I want to live in Arlington and you gave the rose to someone else?? I mean...not for nothing, Britt, you are on a date with TWO OTHER WOMEN and your boyfriend. I'm pretty sure all of them are telling him that!

END SCENE

Episode 7 - Part 2 - Hometowns

Is it just me or did Jade, Whitney, and Becca all wear the exact same shoes on each of their one on ones?

So Becca got the last One-On-One of Episode 7 (this whole episode thing is confusing me now) and tells Chris that she's never been in love...and never told anyone she loves them. I think Chris is a little confused but not necessarily in a bad way?

Long story short, back at the hotel Britt tells the girls that she's going home. Carly is thrilled, the other girls look confused as last week she was at a Big and Rich concert and getting a rose on stage...and to Britt's surprise, CH (Chris Harrison, duh) tells everyone there will be no cocktail party.

Sooo the rose ceremony starts and Britt asks Chris to talk to him for a minute - didn't see that coming...not. Instead of her telling him she didn't want to live in Iowa and can't see their future together, he told her that the way she reacted is not what he wants in a wife...soooo...sorry Britt, but you still got eliminated, you didn't even eliminate yourself.

You guys I'm kind of torn on how I feel about Britt at this point. Like yeah, she was definitely the front-runner and now others are catching up and she doesn't like it and hey neither would I, but like...at the same time, this is what you signed up for? Idk. She probably knew she was going home after her conversation also so she wanted to save herself the embarrassment? I'm not sure. Either way, Carly has gone from sweet and funny to total mean girl this episode. She's funny, but like, curb your jealousy.

Hometowns go to:

  1. Kaitlyn
  2. Whitney
  3. Becca
  4. Jade

Hometown Date #1: Becca - Shreveport, Louisiana

Louisiana seems pretty cool. Crocodiles, boats, virgins.

"Me being a virgin, they've never seen me like this. I've never been like this" ... just because you're a virgin doesn't mean they've never seen you with a guy before???

I immediately take that back. Chris is the first guy Becca has ever brought home? Game changer.

So both Beccas sister and her mom are like "Yeah Becca hates physical intimacy, has never loved anyone, and does not have any feelings of any kind" ...

Becca starts to feel like she is falling in love and I think Chris is super confused.

Hometown Date #2: Whitney - Chicago, Illinois

"Whitney looks pretty hot in those scrubs. I look like a giant dick." Can't say I disagree, Chris.

Chris asked Whitney who he should ask for her hand in marriage...this is the only date he did that on???

Sooo this date seems pretty natural, as natural as you can get when meeting the members of one of your 4 girlfriends families can be. So Chris talks to Uncle Johnny, which is the closest thing Whitney has to a father figure. It seems like Chris is winning them over.

Whitney talks to her skeptical sister knowing that she might blow it for her. HELLO, why wouldn't her sister just be like "Yes, you can ask her to marry you." Like don't ruin her chances when she's crying and telling you she wants him to propose. It's not like Whitney is unsure!

Then the wine bottle happens and yes I cried, Whitney is definitely having some real feelings.

So Whit's sister tells Chris to call her once he knows she's the one. I SMELL FORESHADOWING! AND IT SMELLS LIKE A PROPOSAL.

Hometown Date #3: Kaitlyn - Phoenix, Arizona

So far the best thing about the date is Kaitlyns ring (can someone tell me where it's from? Possessionista?) and the FIRE TABLE!

You guys, Kaitlyn looks exactly like her mom.

^ honestly, those are literally the only 2 things I wrote down about Kaitlyn's date and now that I'm re-reading it I'm realizing I guess Kaitlyn's hometown was pretty anticlimactic. I feelz her on the not opening up thing but the Kaitlyn<3Chris was confusing. I think he was confused too like wait you feel like an emoji towards me or you love me or what is going on?

Hometown Date #4: Jade - Gering, Nebraska

Womp womp,  Jade is going to tell Chris about her playboy past.  Can't we just fast forward the episode to that part?

Chris meets Jade's brothers...her dad, her mom, and her dad's GF. When him and her dad talk, her dad basically tells Chris that she wants to "live free" but "still love"... I don't know what that means but Chris looks pretty confused.

Her brother then tells Chris that Jade is "a wild mustang"... and again Chris is like yeahhhh ok great so what the hell is going on? Everyone is making it seem like Jade recently became a woman and is a member of some weird bicycle gang.

So the moment we've all been waiting for when Jade tells Chris about her playboy past takes like 30 minutes to actually happen, the secondhand embarrassment is killing me before it even starts (secondhand embarrassment for Chris, btw)...

He is probably thinking she was a man at this point!?

OOOk so not only does Jade tell him, but then shows him naked pictures and a video of her stripping? I mean, look, we've all made mistakes, no judgement, but I'm not sure if he really wanted to see that right then and right there. Actually who am I kidding, of course he did.

ROSE CEREMONY:

1. Whitney
2. Kaitlyn
3. Becca

Jade goes home. I have to say honestly that I feel really sad for her. Like, I actually don't think it had so much to do with the Playboy thing as that it took her so long to open up to him, but if I was her I would be thinking it only had to do with the Playboy thing...so...next Bachelorette? Too soon to predict that?

I CAN'T WAIT FOR NEXT WEEK. I want to know what's going to happen!!

What are your thoughts? PS Sorry for being so longwinded this time but there was like 5 hours to recap, ok? Bloggin' ain't easy.

Who do you think is going home next? How will Chris react to Becca telling him she's a virgin?

Comment below and as always THANK YOU for reading!
